We have a meeting with Iran on Thursday, so we wait until Thursday, says Trump to reporters in the White House on the question of whether Iran has presented its promised counter-proposal on an agreement between the countries.
Iran, which is not satisfied with the US's latest proposal, has said that it will present its own shortly.
The latest round of negotiations between the countries, the fifth in order, ended on May 23 without major success.
The talks, where the countries are trying to hammer out a new agreement on Iran's nuclear energy program, are the first since a previous agreement between Iran and the Western world from 2015 collapsed in 2018, during Trump's first term.
At stake, among other things, is the lifting of sanctions against Iran, provided the country scales down its nuclear ambitions.
