The company Stanley is recalling 2.6 million of its thermoses as the lid can fall off and cause injuries from hot drinks.
The recall includes Stanley's travel mugs of the Switchback and Trigger Action models in stainless steel. The lid can shrink when exposed to heat or torque and thus fall off.
The products have mainly been sold in the USA but also via Amazon between June 2016 and December this year.
According to the American authority Consumer Product Safety Commission, Stanley has received 91 reports worldwide of lids coming loose, 38 of these reports concern burn injuries.
