All train traffic between Sundsvall and Umeå has been stopped until Sunday at twelve o'clock. The reason is that several power-conducting cables have been sabotaged on the Botniabanan in connection with copper thefts.
Both the Botniabanan and the upper main line are affected, states the Swedish Transport Administration's press chief Bengt Olsson to Aftonbladet.
According to Olsson, the copper thefts are well-planned.
