Traffic Accidents a Leading Cause of Death During Work Hours

Approximately one third of the fatalities were employees, while two thirds were other road users.

Traffic accidents are one of the most common causes of death during working hours, says the Swedish Transport Administration's director-general Roberto Maiorana.

According to Maiorana, the death toll can be reduced by about 50 percent if a number of preventive measures are taken.
