They are all believed to have drunk cocktails at a five-star hotel on Saturday evening and shortly after became nauseous, vomited, and showed symptoms of neurological damage.
The tourists are between 18 and 56 years old, including four Australians, one American, and two foreigners living in Fiji, whose nationalities have not yet been disclosed.
Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has urged tourists to be aware of the risks of, among other things, methanol poisoning when consuming alcoholic beverages in Fiji, writes BBC.
The incident occurs just a few weeks after six tourists in Laos, including two Danes, died due to suspected methanol poisoning.
The Fijian police are investigating the incident.
