Lucas Bergvall and Dejan Kulusevski cheered. Hugo Larsson was disappointed.
Tottenham won the return match in the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt with 1–0 and is semifinal-ready.
Larsson's Frankfurt reached 1–1 in the away match last week and had a good starting position before the return match.
But despite a significant playing advantage, it was Tottenham that drew the longest straw in a match with three Swedish national team players on the pitch.
Tottenham's winning goal came on a penalty in the 43rd minute through Dominic Solanke.
This after home goalkeeper Kaua Santos brought down James Maddison.
Bergvall played from the start and Kulusevski, who began on the bench, came on at the end of the first half. Hugo Larsson was substituted after 76 minutes.
Norwegian Bodø/Glimt lost their 2–0 lead from the first match to 2–2 away against Lazio in Rome. The teams scored one goal each in extra time, but after a penalty shootout, Bodø/Glimt could secure the semifinal ticket against Tottenham.
In the other semifinal, Manchester United and Athletic Bilbao will meet.
