We take the incident seriously, says Johannesson to Aftonbladet.
Glenn Nyberg acted during a division 6 match between Kvarnsveden's U-team, where he is responsible for refereeing, and Amsberg.
An Amsberg player received a yellow card for a foul, but when Nyberg stepped down from the stands for a discussion with the linesman, the head referee changed his assessment and gave a red card.
Afterwards, Nyberg, crowned the country's best referee several times, is said to have apologized.
The Swedish Football Association's referee manager Stefan Johannesson has been in contact with Nyberg.
He regrets his actions in connection with the match, says Johannesson, who emphasizes that the behavior should not be repeated.
Glenn Nyberg is on his way to the USA where he will referee in the World Championship for club teams later in June.
