On Saturday, it was big sister Öberg who, after flawless shooting, won the competition, which due to a lack of snow was also run over a sprint distance.
Now there were two errors – one in the standing and one in the prone – for Hanna Öberg, which gave her 50 seconds in extra time. Elvira Öberg, who came second in the first race of the weekend, was flawless on the shooting range, however.
“Be on time”
After the second shot she led by over 50 seconds and finished 1.02 ahead of her big sister. Later, Hanna Öberg was barely passed by German Janina Hettich-Walz and the Swede came in third.
It's fun, but it was time to shoot 0–0, Elvira Öberg tells SVT.
She herself believes that the last time she managed a flawless shooting at a sprint distance was in January 2023.
It means a lot, especially considering the difficulties I had in the sprints last season, she says and continues:
I open hard, but I can handle that opening pretty well. I set up the race well. There's not much I could have done better today.
Hanna Öberg:
It wasn't quite as good as yesterday, I can't say. But I still think it was quite okay.
"Finlira"
Saturday's competition was felt in my legs.
"I didn't expect to have two perfect races with me from here. I still think it's very positive and now we have two weeks until the next (race)," says Hanna Öberg to SVT.
Then it will be the World Cup premiere at home in Östersund.
Then you should have had time to fine-tune a few things, says Hanna Öberg.
Linn Gestblom (formerly Persson) competed in her first snow race in 21 months on Saturday after a long injury layoff and came third, but she did not compete in Sunday's race.
