Scotland's Kieran Tierney will miss the rest of the European Championship due to a thigh injury. The defender has left the national team and travelled to London to be examined by his club side Arsenal.
They will provide an update when they can. He is, of course, very disappointed, says Scotland's assistant national coach John Carver at a press conference.
Tierney injured his thigh during Wednesday's match against Switzerland and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
The 27-year-old started in Scotland's both opening European Championship matches.
It's a heavy loss. He is one of our best players, and in a tournament, you want your best players on the pitch. As soon as a team loses one of its best players, it affects them, says Carver.
The Arsenal player was loaned out to Real Sociedad last season.
Scotland's next match is the crucial and final group stage match against Hungary, which takes place on Sunday evening.
