Among the new cases in Uganda are a driver who transported the first confirmed case, a healthcare worker who became infected while caring for the same patient, and a Congolese woman residing in Congo-Kinshasa who traveled into Uganda.
The three infected people are receiving treatment and the Ministry of Health is urging the population to remain calm.
The cases are linked to the epidemic detected in Congo-Kinshasa on May 15.
Angola, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia are the countries - in addition to Congo-Kinshasa and Uganda - in the danger zone, according to the African Union's public health agency, Africa CDC.
