Thousands of people demonstrated in France on Saturday against violence against women - and at the same time demanded action.
In Paris, demonstrators danced and shouted, and many held up signs. Organizers said 50,000 people took part, while police put the figure at 17,000.
Hundreds of protesters also gathered in other French cities. Among other things, organizers are demanding a new law and more money for organizations that support victims of violence.
