She is being praised for her work examining how far-right environments and misogyny are "organized and normalized" online.
"Receiving this award means an enormous amount to me, both personally and professionally. It is a strong confirmation that this type of journalism, which is often slow, demanding and sometimes uncomfortable, actually makes a difference," said My Vingren in a press release.
This year's Selma is awarded by the book publisher Romanus & Selling to a person or organization that has made an impact on the gender equality debate and influenced change. The prize money is SEK 50,000.
