The day before Christmas Eve is when many gather in front of the TV for a cozy evening with loved ones.
This year, Allsång på Skansen is broadcasting a Christmas special featuring artists such as Laleh, Marcus & Martinus, and Mapei, hosted by Pernilla Wahlgren.
The format of the TV sing-along remains, but the scene will be different.
Instead of boats, glitter in the water, and summer, we're really going "all in" and decorating the stage for Christmas and getting that Christmas atmosphere. But of course, the audience needs to dress warmly, and the applause might be a bit quieter due to all the mittens, Pernilla Wahlgren said earlier to TT.
Celebrating 30 years
In another channel, Bingolotto is running the 30th edition of the cozy evening with hosts Lotta Engberg and Daniel Norberg.
The program is described as a tradition.
People return home and gather with the whole family. It's the perfect moment to sit down, enjoy the first piece of ham, and then the bingo is very timely, says Fredrik Wingbro, press officer at Bingolotto.
The hope at Bingolotto is to break the five-million-barrier in lottery sales. The challenge is to ensure that both the website and phone system can handle the pressure.
Surplus increase
We have a gigantic IT team to ensure our website can handle it, it's an incredible pressure when people want to buy lottery tickets and also with phone calls, many calling the same number at the same time.
Bingolotto estimates that this year's surplus to the association life from the cozy evening will land at 142 million kronor. An increase of 11 million kronor from last year.
Cyklopernas land's cozy evening is broadcast on SVT Play and SVT2 and usually offers culture, music performances, and crafts.
This year, there will be new competition from Skansen's Christmas special.
It's nice that there's something for everyone. I don't think we have the same type of viewers, said the program's host Christopher Garplind earlier to TT.
