In March, food price increases picked up again. Prices rose by 5.4 percent annually compared to 3.9 percent annually in February.

Certain food products skyrocketed more than others in price. Butter increased the most, by 31.5 percent. The prices of milk and coffee also rose sharply.

Honeydew melon, on the other hand, became 21.1 percent cheaper compared to March last year.

Here are the ten products that increased and decreased the most in price in March.

Increased:

Butter: 31.5 percent

Coffee: 30.0 percent

Chocolate: 28.9 percent

White cabbage: 22.2 percent

Cream: 21.0 percent

Frozen fruit and berries: 20.7 percent

Other sandwich spreads: 20.3 percent

Cucumber: 19.3 percent

Milk: 18.1 percent

Cocoa and chocolate drinks: 16.7 percent

Decreased:

Honeydew melon: -21.1 percent

Yellow onion: -19.1 percent

Avocado, mango, etc.: -13.0 percent

Carrots: -12.2 percent

Sugar: -12.1 percent

Fresh herbs: -8.0 percent

Cooking, frying, and grilling oils: -6.8 percent

Pears: -6.7 percent

Fresh salmon: -6.6 percent

Oranges: -6.0 percent
