0-2 year olds:

Preferably no screen time at all.

2-5 year olds:

Screen time max 1 hour.

Control the content. Watch together with your children and talk about what you see. Avoid commercials. Make sure screen time does not interfere with other important things, such as sleep, meals, physical activity, and play.

6-12 year olds:

Screen time max 1-2 hours.

Control the content. Follow age limits on games, video sharing services, and social media. Talk about what your child does online and how digital media affects them. Create good habits.

13-18 year olds (targeted at the young people themselves):

Screen time max 2-3 hours.

Think about your screen use. Try to find balance in your daily life so that you have time for sleep, physical activity, leisure activities, and socializing.

Have a good tone. Seek help from an adult if you are exposed yourself.

For parents themselves:

Think about how you use digital media. Consider that your screen habits can affect your child's screen habits.
