2022: Forgets his mobile phone at a foreign power's embassy.

Henrik Landerholm attended a dinner at the Hungarian embassy a few days before Christmas. According to DN's information, the mobile phone was left at the embassy overnight and he got it back the next day.

Landerholm has confirmed that he forgot his mobile phone and stated that the assessment from the Government Offices' security department was that the damage was "of minor character".

The incident occurred at a sensitive time for Sweden's NATO application, which Hungary had long blocked.

2023: Forgets a notebook at Swedish Radio.

After participating in Ekot's Saturday interview in January 2023, Landerholm forgot his notebook at the Radio House. Instead of being retrieved by a colleague from the Government Offices, the book was sent by taxi to a café in central Stockholm.

Landerholm has confirmed that the notebook was forgotten, and in this case, the assessment was also that the damage was "of minor character".

2023: Forgets classified documents at a conference center.

In March 2023, Henrik Landerholm forgot documents in a locked cabinet at the Gällöfsta conference center. According to DN, at least one of the documents was security-classified. This means that it contains information that, if disclosed, could harm Sweden's security. The documents were found by cleaning staff, according to sources. According to DN's information, the Government Offices assess the incident as very serious.

The case has now also been referred to the Security Service, which is said to be reviewing the Government Offices' damage assessment of the incident. The Government Offices' security chief decided that no police report would be filed.

2024: Partially private trips are paid for with tax money.

Henrik Landerholm let taxpayers foot the bill when he traveled to visit his partner in Berlin, according to Aftonbladet. The trips were officially made for business, but in several cases, they were combined with private purposes.

Landerholm claims that he only became aware afterwards that these trips do not count as business trips and then cancelled or requested salary deductions. The salary deductions were, however, made only after the newspaper began asking questions about the trips.

According to the Government Offices, it involves two flights for a total of 7,500 kronor and 1,638 kronor for a train ticket.

Henrik Landerholm was handpicked by the government for the role of Sweden's first national security adviser in November 2022.

The role is non-political and the assignment extends over a mandate period, until 2028.

Landerholm has built up a completely new office of around 70 people within the Ministry of Justice.

Previously, he has been, among other things, the director-general of the Psychological Defense Agency, a member of parliament for The Moderate Party, chairman of the Defense Committee, rector of the Defense University, and ambassador.

He is a childhood friend of Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
