The Swedish Tax Agency is launching a new digital tax declaration service. At the same time, the agency is scrapping its old app, Expressen reports.

"In summary, we can say that we have long seen a need to renew the existing e-service," Johan Schauman, tax declaration expert at the Swedish Tax Agency, told the newspaper.

In the first version of the new service, it is possible to approve your tax return if you have no changes. Those who want to make deductions should use the old e-service.

At the same time, the Swedish Tax Agency's app, which allowed, among other things, approval of the tax return or making travel deductions, is being discontinued.

"In order to use taxpayers' money wisely and keep costs down, but also to start streamlining our services, we have decided to remove the app," says Johan Schauman.
