Exactly 21 minutes before she is to tee off, Ingrid Lindblad picks up her phone and starts a saved and well-used music list.

Then three songs are played:

+ "She's dancing on in life" by Hov1.

+ "Something just like this" by Coldplay and The Chainsmokers.

+ A remix of "Paris" by The Chainsmokers.

In the last song, there's a line that's significant: "Let's show them we're better".

"Routine"

Only after these – and an apple – is she ready to take on the 18 holes that await.

It's become a little routine, says Lindblad and laughs.

Is it always the same songs?

Yes.

How long have you been using these?

Throughout my entire college time, so the playlist needs an update.

Superstition or are they just good songs?

Superstition, I think. But I don't know what would happen if something were different.

The golfer is not only particular about her warm-up. It's also important that the clubs are in the right places in the bag.

I also usually have two tees in my pocket, it's mostly for practicality. If one breaks, it's good to have another.

Ingrid Lindblad decided late to study at Louisiana State University (LSU), a decision she absolutely does not regret today.

She dominated, won 15 college titles – a record for LSU. When she then took the step to the Epson Tour, the feeder tour to LPGA, the Swede continued to excel. She only played 9 out of 17 tournaments, yet became sixth overall in the "Race for the card", which means she has secured a spot on the LPGA tour for the coming season.

"New workplace"

The golfer is preparing for her first tournament at home in Halmstad. She works out a lot, grinds on technique, and refines details in her putting and swing.

All to ensure continued success on the top tour.

At the same time, Lindblad is aware that something else is waiting.

You want to have expectations, but at the same time not put too much pressure. It's the same job, but a new workplace, she says.

Is golf as fun now as before?

I think it's fun, I play because I think there are always bits to improve. You never come in and say you've played perfect golf. It doesn't happen.

The day you've hit all the fairways, all the greens, and made 18 birdies – then maybe you can quit… But it's not going to happen.
