I am appointed to serve him with suspicion. More precisely what it will consist of, we don't really know, says Johan Eriksson to Expressen.

Landerholm left his position as national security adviser at the end of January. The reason was that a preliminary investigation had been initiated into whether he was being investigated for the crime of negligence with confidential information, which can result in fines or imprisonment for up to one year.

According to Chief Prosecutor Per Lindqvist, interrogations with Landerholm are planned to take place shortly, writes DN. In the court documents to the district court, Landerholm is referred to as the suspect.

Henrik Landerholm was appointed Sweden's first national security adviser in the autumn of 2022. He got into trouble in December when DN revealed that he had repeatedly been careless with security on several occasions.

The incident he is now being investigated for concerns forgotten documents with confidential information in a cabinet at a conference center in the spring of 2023.

The other two security incidents that DN has revealed concern a forgotten notebook at Sveriges Radio in January 2023 and a forgotten mobile phone at the Hungarian embassy in December 2022.

All opposition parties have reported Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (The Moderate Party) to the Constitutional Committee (KU) for the recruitment and handling of Landerholm.
