The decision was made at an extraordinary annual meeting on Saturday, reports P4 Radio Värmland .
With two rounds left to play in the women's second highest league, Mallbacken from Värmland is second to last.
The club does not believe it has the financial means to continue playing in the top flight. In September, chairman Evelina Nilsson said that they needed to raise 1 million kronor before the end of the year.
Mallbacken has played 14 seasons in the Swedish women's league, the last being in 2016.
