Ella Halvarsson only made her third World Cup competition in her career, and her first in relay.
Then she won the single mixed relay together with Sebastian Samuelsson in the World Cup premiere in Finnish Kontiolax.
It can't be better, she's doing it totally fantastically, says Sweden's shooting coach Johan Hagström in SVT.
France's Julia Simon and Quentin Fillon Maillet came second.
Right from the start, relay debutant Ella Halvarsson went hard and took the lead. There, she managed to hold on throughout the race, after only needing to use three extra shots.
I have very good self-confidence in lying down now, so it felt calm, it was just a matter of going in on the range and focusing. And in standing, it was just a matter of fighting against the wind, says Halvarsson.
There was a tight battle between Sebastian Samuelsson and Quentin Fillon Maillet before the final shooting, but when the Frenchman missed two, the Swede could pull away.
For Samuelsson's part, it was a total of one extra shot. It's the 27-year-old's fourth victory in single mixed relay.
We said we would go out and have fun today. Of course, it's great fun to win, but it's also the first competition and all that, so we focused on having fun. But when you get the chance, you want to take it, says Samuelsson.
