Thai and Cambodian military have clashed in the border area in northeastern Thailand. It is the first time it happens since the countries in August agreed on a ceasefire.

The Thai army has received information that Cambodian soldiers have shot at the Chong An Ma area in the province of Ubon Ratchathani, states the military's spokesperson in a statement.

From Cambodia's Ministry of Defense, however, comes information that Thai forces have shot and used grenades against the military base An Seh.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported.

This year, the relationship between Cambodia and Thailand has deteriorated significantly since May, when a Cambodian soldier was shot dead at the border.
