Six men, three women and a minor were killed in the attack that occurred in Tehuitzingo, the Puebla state government said in a statement.
"The working hypothesis in our investigation is that this was family-related," said Idamis Pastor, state prosecutor for Puebla, which is located about 200 kilometers south of Mexico City.
Among the ten victims, six belonged to the same family, while the other four were "workers," according to Pastor.
