Scenes reminiscent of an action film unfolded in Paris early on Saturday morning.

A car driver refused to stop on police orders, leading to a long car chase through the southern parts of the French capital. It wasn't until several kilometers later that the wild ride ended when the pursued car driver crashed into a traffic light near the Montparnasse Tower.

Surveillance cameras show how three police cars then crashed into the wrecked car and each other.

In total, thirteen people, including ten police officers, were taken to hospital, all with minor injuries.
