Telias was hit by extensive disruptions on Tuesday evening. At 9:30 p.m., the telecom company's press service announced that the problems, which were caused by a power failure, had been resolved.

"Our technicians have fixed the error that caused the widespread disruptions in our services. This now means that everything is gradually getting back up and running for those of our customers who were affected by this," says Telia's press manager Roija Rafii.

The disruptions occurred at around 6 p.m. and led, among other things, to food giant Coop having problems with its contactless payments in parts of the country, to the police's national telephone number 114 14 being unreachable, and to hospitals in the Stockholm Region going into emergency mode.

Now our technicians will do a deeper analysis of how the error could have occurred so that we can ensure that it does not happen again, says Rafii.

Telia's customers in Norway have also been affected by the technical problems, according to NTB.
