In 2025, Telia has so far stopped 92 million fraud calls using new advanced technology. This is an increase of 70 percent compared to last year and means that three fraud calls per second have not reached the recipient.

The operator Telia writes in a press release that it has strengthened protection for its customers by developing advanced systems that detect fraudulent traffic patterns in real time.

"Fraud harms people and erodes trust in digital services. That's why we continue the important work through collaboration, knowledge-raising efforts and development of new technical solutions. But to stay one step ahead, everyone also needs to remain vigilant, regardless of whether you're shopping online or getting an unexpected call during the day," says Amanda Landqvist, head of Telia's fraud prevention.
