Mirra Andreeva is clear for the final in the WTA tournament Indian Wells in California after beating out world number two Iga Swiatek from Poland with the scores 7–6(7–1), 1–6, 6–3.

Swiatek won last year's edition of Indian Wells and had not lost there since Elena Rybakina beat her in the semifinal in 2023.

For 17-year-old Russian Andreeva, ranked eleventh in the world, world number one Aryna Sabalenka now awaits, who easily beat out American Madison Keys, 6–0, 6–1.
