The shot hit a window of the Israeli embassy in Stockholm. The teenage boy says he was pressured into the act. "It wasn't something I wanted," he said in questioning.

The teenage boy, who was 16 at the time of the shooting and is now 18, has admitted that he was the one who shot at the embassy. He is charged with aggravated weapons offenses.

In his defense, the 18-year-old has stated that he was pressured to carry out the act and expressed fear that something would happen to his family.

"They said it won't look good for your family if this job isn't done," he has previously said.

More involved

According to prosecutor Cecilia Holmbom, there is information in the investigation that confirms that other people were involved in the crime.

"A large number of investigative measures have been taken in this investigation. Identifying others involved has been one of these investigative measures. However, that work has not resulted in us now being able to prosecute anyone else or any others beyond those identified in the indictment," she writes in a comment.

A young woman is charged with aiding and abetting a felony weapons offense. According to the indictment, she transported weapons and booked trips for the teenage boy in connection with the shooting.

Suspected of terrorism

The shooting at the Israeli embassy occurred on the night of October 1, 2024. Later that evening, the 18-year-old traveled on to Copenhagen.

The following day, two hand grenades exploded close to the Israeli embassy north of Copenhagen.

Here the 18-year-old stands accused of terrorism together with a 21-year-old Swedish man.

The trial against the Swedes begins on November 12 in the Copenhagen District Court.

The 18-year-old will be tried in Sweden after the verdict in Denmark.
