A 56-year-old man was shot dead in his living room and Ystad District Court has found that the plan was to kill more, "all the men in the residence". Two sons in the house had gone home just 40 minutes earlier.
The police investigation has shown that the boys had been hired for a revenge action since the 56-year-old's son had come into conflict with a criminal gang with ties to the Foxtrot network, when he took on a criminal assignment that he did not carry out.
No punishment
The boys were only 14 years old at the time of the crime and therefore Ystad District Court does not impose any punishment. Instead, they will have to pay damages to the murdered man's three sons, who are awarded 110,000 kronor each.
The boys are also convicted of preparation for murder of the two sons who left the house before the crime.
The boy who is guilty of instigating the murder has, according to the verdict, regularly undertaken to act as an intermediary between criminal clients and perpetrators.
He is also convicted, along with another boy, whom he recruited, of conspiracy to commit a murder that was never carried out.
"Lucky coincidence"
The plan was for two people to be murdered in Stockholm on August 15 last year. It was "nothing but a lucky coincidence that the murder plan was not implemented", the court writes.
The prosecutor has pointed out two more boys as suspects for aiding and abetting the murder in Skurup. One of them is completely acquitted, while the other is instead found guilty of preparation for murder.
The crime investigation into those suspected of having ordered the murder in Skurup is still ongoing. One of them, who is detained in his absence, has, according to information to SVT, recently been arrested by the local security police in Iraq. He is said to be one of the top figures in the Foxtrot criminal group.
Corrected: In an earlier version, there was an incorrect piece of information about the crime classification.
