Tasks: Group formed for the second phase of the ceasefire

Israel's security cabinet has voted to form a ministerial group to oversee the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire, according to Israeli media reports.

The vote is said to have taken place on Thursday evening, reports public service channel Kan.

The second phase of the ceasefire is expected to begin when Hamas has handed over all hostages to Israel. Currently, three dead hostages remain with Hamas. No firm timetable has been set for the next phase of the ceasefire.

According to the information, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, extremist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and the country's ultranationalist Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir are to be included in the group, reports The Times of Israel .
