The ceasefire is to apply to northern and northeastern Syria and come into effect immediately, according to the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
"We agreed on a comprehensive ceasefire on all fronts and on military posts in northern and northeastern Syria", writes Murhaf Abu Qasra in a statement on X.
The talks between the parties were held in Damascus after deadly clashes in Aleppo during the night.
