Swedish-Norwegian talent Philip Lindkvist Fløtten takes his place on the A national biathlon team

"This is a goal I have had, and to now be a part of it feels great. I am looking forward to moving to Östersund and starting training with the others on the team," says the 19-year-old in a press release.

He won three medals at the Junior World Championships last winter - one of which was gold - and also made his World Cup debut in Holmenkollen. Philip Lindkvist Fløtten was born and raised in Norway, but has a Swedish mother and has chosen to compete for Sweden.

Otherwise, the national team squad consists of established stars such as Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg, Martin Ponsiluoma and Sebastian Samuelsson.

The A national biathlon team for the 2026 - 2027 season:

Women: Anna Magnusson, Anna-Karin Heijdenberg, Ella Halvarsson, Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg, Johanna Skottheim, Linn Gestblom, Sara Andersson.

Men: Jesper Nelin, Malte Stefansson, Martin Ponsiluoma, Philip Lindkvist Fløtten, Sebastian Samuelsson, Viktor Brandt.
