According to police, the girls, who were 15 and 14 years old at the time, traveled to a town outside Herning in Jutland, where they were supposed to kill a man at his home address. But the man was not home.
According to the police, the girls were on a commission mission. They had no personal connection to the man.
Because the younger of the girls was only 14 years old at the time of the suspected crime, she cannot be brought to justice.
The girl who is now being extradited to Denmark will be brought before a remand judge in Holstebro District Court on Saturday.
According to the prosecutor, this is a phenomenon that Danish police call "crime as a service" and which primarily involves young Swedes who have been recruited to commit serious crimes in Denmark.
A 22-year-old Swedish man is suspected of having participated in planning the attempted murder.
He is accused of recruiting several Swedes for assassination missions in Denmark and will go on trial early next year.
