The intrusion has affected a limited, external file transfer solution.
”We understand that this can create concern, but the electricity supply has not been affected by this intrusion”, says Cem Göcgören.
It was over the weekend that information emerged that Svenska kraftnät, which is responsible for the Swedish power system, had been subjected to a data intrusion. A result was ”access to certain information” for the perpetrators, it was said.
An ”intensive investigative work” is underway to evaluate the extent of the intrusion and the consequences. The incident is also being investigated by the police.
”Since it is a security matter and a police investigation, we cannot provide any specific details about what information has been exposed, but our assessment at present is that business-critical systems have not been affected”, says Cem Göcgören
