It will be the first time in 16 years that the men's national team plays a competitive match in Gothenburg.
"Our national teams have supporters from all over the country and it's nice to play in several places in Sweden", says the association's football manager Kim Källström in a press release.
The last time the men's national team played a competitive match at Ullevi was in 2009 when it was a 4-0 win against Malta.
The World Championship qualification starts in September with two away matches for Blågult. Then, three home matches await where the national team, in addition to the meeting with Kosovo at Ullevi, meets Switzerland on October 10 and Slovenia on November 18 at the national arena Strawberry arena.
The 2026 World Championship will be decided in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
