Thousands of people are said to have been killed after the anti-regime protests in Iran, and the Swedish Foreign Ministry is urging Swedes in the country to leave.
But the Swedish Migration Board is not currently stopping deportations to Iran, according to Sveriges Radio.
The Swedish Migration Board is following the developments in Iran extremely closely, almost hour by hour, Jesper Tengroth, press officer at the authority, tells the radio.
Tengroth says that it is impossible to compare the two.
The advice applies to Swedish citizens. The safety of a country's citizens is often greater than that of foreign citizens, Tengroth says.
