"Therefore, two men are now suspects in the case," prosecutor Lisbeth Ravlo Backe says in a press release from the Norwegian police.
Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, who was married to billionaire Tom Hagen, disappeared from her home in Lørenskog, Norway, in October 2018. In May, a 59-year-old Norwegian citizen was arrested in the case and in August he was extradited from Sweden to Norway in connection with a drug case.
In 2024 and 2025, charges were dropped against several other people, including her husband Tom Hagen.
"In recent years, after the prosecution against Tom Hagen was dropped, we have investigated the Lørenskog case very extensively. The ongoing investigation will continue to try to uncover what happened to Anne-Elisabeth Hagen," Backe says.
