The Swedish krona continues to be the strongest of the major currencies since the turn, according to Bloomberg's G10 currency index.
The krona has strengthened by 16.27 percent against the dollar since the turn.
The US dollar has lost ground against all major currencies since President Donald Trump took office at the beginning of the year.
Today, one dollar costs 9.52 kronor, compared to 11.07 at the turn of the year.
Other currency winners include the Norwegian krona, up 12.85 percent against the dollar, followed by the Swiss franc, up 10.27 percent.
Among the currencies that have fared worse, the Canadian dollar stands out, although it has still strengthened by 4.79 percent against the US dollar, and the Australian dollar, up 5.09 percent.
