This applies in particular to cases involving so-called business recovery from companies, the National Audit Office writes in a press release.
"Certain types of collection are complicated and require specialist expertise that not all employees at the Swedish Enforcement Authority have. But we also have indications that errors occur due to urgency in processing," says Anna Brink, project manager for the audit of the operations conducted by the Swedish National Audit Office.
The audit also shows that many cases take an unnecessarily long time because cases are not actively processed.
The National Audit Office recommends, among other things, that the Enforcement Service prioritize quality-enhancing measures in business collection and consider prioritizing more resources for physical service.
