The Swedish Courts Administration has paid over 13 million kronor in rent for unused court premises in Karlshamn, reports SVT Blekinge.

The court has been vacant since 2012, but still the authority has continued to pay.

The Swedish Courts Administration announced several years ago that an investigation would be conducted to renovate the court, so that it would meet today's security requirements. Such a renovation has not taken place.
