The streak of twelve quarters among member companies is also the longest since the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise began its measurements, writes the employer and industry organization.
They now still estimate that unemployment will rise to 8.7 percent, no revision since last quarter's figures. On the other hand, inflation is expected to rise to 2.6 percent (according to the KPIF measure) in percentage change next year, an upward revision from the previous 2.3 percent. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise estimates that the Swedish Central Bank will choose to wait with an interest rate cut next week.
"The weak economy, however, means that another cut will come later in the fall. A repo rate of 1.75 percent together with a budget proposal that contains 80 billion in reform space contributes to the fact that growth increases during next year and that the low-conjuncture is mitigated", writes the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
