Swedish Climate Minister Romina Pourmokhtari to Attend COP31 in Turkey if Government Talks Allow

The announcement comes at a press conference with Pourmokhtari and Mattias Frumerie, Sweden’s chief negotiator and climate ambassador.

Pourmokhtari will attend the second of the two weeks of COP31 in Antalya, Turkey. She will lead a 20-person delegation.

The announcement comes with a caveat: she will only go if government negotiations do not get in the way.

The meeting will take place between November 9 and 20.
