Swedish aid funds have gone to the Palestinian organization ICHR which has ties to the terrorist-designated Hamas and Islamic Jihad, reports aid minister Benjamin Dousa (The Moderate Party) to Aftonbladet.

I am ultimately responsible and I take full responsibility for this and that's why we will also act. We will not allow a single Swedish tax krona to end up in the hands of terrorists or near terrorists, says Dousa to the newspaper.

The money has been paid out through the Swedish aid agency Sida during the years 2011–2025, and amounts to a total of 55 million kronor. It is supposed to have been used by Hamas, which controls Gaza, to train police. It is also supposed to have gone to arranging panel discussions where Hamas and Islamic Jihad have sat together, Dousa further tells Aftonbladet.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs was informed during the week, according to Dousa. It is unclear how much money has reached the two terrorist-stamped organizations.

We have called Sida's director-general, Jakob Granit, to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs on Monday morning to get answers to some questions, says Dousa (The Moderate Party) to the newspaper.
