In 2025, over 12.3 billion was donated to member organizations of Giva Sverige, an increase of 100 million from 2024. In addition, 56 percent of Swedes said that they had donated to a nonprofit organization in the past six months, compared to 53 percent the year before.
"More people want to give regularly, which is crucial for organizations' ability to work long term in a time of major societal challenges," said Charlotte Rydh, secretary general of Giva Sverige, in a press release.
The big winners were organizations working with children and young people, where donations and contributions increased by 8 percent.
The most money was given to the Swedish Cancer Foundation, which raised over one billion kronor.
