The two young Swedes who are suspected of terrorist crimes against Israel's embassy in Denmark will be brought to court, reports the news agency Ritzau.
No formal charges have yet been filed. In cases involving terror in Denmark, the process begins with the police district's prosecution authority submitting its position, which via the country's prosecutor general and director of public prosecutions ultimately ends up on the Minister of Justice's desk.
This is a so-called preliminary investigation, which indicates that the prosecution authority believes a case should be pursued.
The Copenhagen police tell Ritzau that the trial begins on November 12 and that a verdict is expected no later than February 3, 2026.
The two Swedes have been detained since the beginning of October 2024 for transporting and throwing two hand grenades near Israel's embassy north of Copenhagen. No one was injured in connection with the explosion, but extensive damage was caused to a building.
One of the Swedes is also suspected of the shooting at Israel's embassy in Stockholm.
