Sweden's women's ice hockey team didn't even have to play their final group game. Italy defeated Japan 3–2 and Sweden's lead in the group is now unassailable.

For Sweden, the group win means that the national team will most likely avoid facing big teams like the USA and Canada in the quarterfinals.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Tre Kronor women will play Japan in the national team's final group match at 12:10, but it will have no significance for the Swedes.

The fact that the match has no significance for Sweden may also be a relief for defender Jenna Raunio, who was forced to leave after taking an early hit against France on Sunday. She did not return to play, but team doctor Wille Ahnberg said she felt fine.

In the quarterfinals, Sweden will face the third-place team in Group A.
