Sweden will play its group stage matches in Kiel and the intermediate round will be played in Hannover.
The top three teams advance from the group stage.
The World Cup will be played between January 13 and 31.
"It will be awesome to face Norway in Kiel, which has a strong handball tradition with many Swedish and Norwegian players over the years," says national team captain Michael Apelgren in a press release.
Norway recently hired Magnus Andersson as national team coach.
Sweden has had a couple of tough championship tournaments under Apelgren, finishing only 14th in the 2025 World Cup and sixth in the European Championship this year, where the group stage was decided in Malmö.
"It could have been both an easier and a more difficult draw, but now we know what we have to deal with," says Apelgren.
