The team took an early lead in the World Cup final played in Utah, USA, and held it until the end. After the victory, Niklas Edin was happy, satisfied and relieved.

"I'm super proud of the team. We've found our form and our confidence again," he said, according to World Curling Media.

Edin said that he and his team were very disappointed after their performance at the Olympics and felt a strong desire for revenge and pressure on themselves before the World Cup. At the Olympics, the team did not even make the playoffs.

"We had to prove to ourselves that we can still play curling at a high level. I think we played fantastically and we kept our cool," Edin said, according to World Curling Media.

Canadian team captain Matt Dunstone was impressed by the Swedes' performance and said they did everything under the sun and that the Canadians were behind throughout the match and had to chase.

The decision in the final came in the tenth end when Canada completely missed with their last stone, which meant that Edin did not even have to play his final stone.

The victory in Utah gave Team Edin its eighth World Cup gold. In addition, the team, in various lineups, has also won Olympic gold at the 2022 Beijing Olympics and eight European Championship titles.

Canada recently won Olympic gold but is represented by a different team at the World Cup.
