One concern ahead of the parliamentary election was that foreign powers would try to influence the vote. However, the day after the election, MPF can say that Sweden was not subjected to any coordinated foreign information influence.
"We have not seen any extensive coordinated activity from the actors we follow in connection with the conduct of the election," says Karin Lönnheden, chief operating officer at MPF, in a press release.
The National Cyber Security Centre has also not noted "any events that have affected the conduct of the election from a cyber perspective."
