Linn Gestblom, Anna Magnusson, Elvira Öberg and Hanna Öberg will compete for Sweden in the women's biathlon relay during the Olympics in Italy.
The four have been in the best form in recent days and they deserve the chance, national team coach Johannes Lukas said.
The team's withdrawal means that Ella Halvarsson, who made a big splash at the World Championships last year, will not be allowed to compete in any race at the Olympics. The only race remaining is the mass start, but Halvarsson has not qualified for that.
The Swedish women have had a tough championship so far and have not been close to a medal.
The relay starts at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
